What's the Pay What You Can Unlimited Membership?
How it started:
In 2020, we realized that membership pricing was becoming a barrier for our clients as they were facing hard circumstances and employment inconsistencies. We began offering an unlimited membership option that would be discounted so that they would still be able to join us at the gym despite having experienced a financial setback.
We decided to keep this membership as an ongoing option for people who's barrier to joining a gym is financial. We invest in our business, the space, the gear, and the ongoing education and development of our team and set our general pricing to reflect that, but we also want to make sure that if the cost of a membership is what's holding you back, we have a solution for you.
The current version works like this:
PWYC (pay what you can) Membership is meant to provide access to Wild + United with some financial support. We have 10 spots available for this sponsored program: 5 at 25% off and 5 at 50% off the monthly unlimited membership for a 3 month cycle.
How to apply:
The PWYC membership is set on a quarterly basis, with start dates of the 1st of January, April, July, and October. You may apply for the PWYC membership here by submitting the form below. 2 weeks before the start of each new cycle, we'll randomly draw applicant's names to fill any available spots and contact them to activate their 3 month PWYC membership. If we have more applicants than spots, not everyone will be able to receive a membership, but we encourage you to reapply in the following months. For those who receive a spot, we encourage you to continually re-evaluate your need for this sponsorship program. When you no longer need it, know that there will be another person waiting in the wings for this opportunity!
HEADS UP! The PWYC membership has all the perks of our regular Unlimited Membership except that it is not eligible to be put on hold for any reason. This is due to the cyclic nature of this program.
