Kettlebell Sport is an inclusive, low impact sport that typically consists of 3 main movements: The Snatch, The Clean & Jerk (aka Longcycle) and The Jerk.
Athletes choose to perform 1 of the above movements for 5 or 10 minutes and complete as many repetitions as they can without putting the bell on the floor.
Each event can be performed with any kettlebell weight so beginners are welcome!
The Comox Valley Kettlebell Club is the first of its kind on northern Vancouver Island. We began exploring KB sport in the fall of 2018 and have now travelled to competitions all over the island and on the mainland. We welcome new team mates and encourage beginner lifters as we were welcomed and encouraged by the sport community here in British Columbia.
We practice at Wild + United Athletics multiple times per week. If you are interested in joining us, please try any of the Kettlebell classes on our schedule and we will direct you from there!
