Stephanie Galitzine (She/Her)
Group Coach

About
Steph grew up in Victoria, BC, participating in as many sports as she could including diving, softball, basketball and volleyball. From a young age, she felt immense joy participating in physical activity, especially in a team environment. However, it wasn't until after she retired from her post-secondary volleyball career that she really understood how much exercise supported not only her physical health, but mental and emotional health too. She is passionate about the power of exercise as medicine and is inspired to help facilitate the benefits of movement for others.
Steph completed her undergraduate degree in Exercise and Wellness and yoga teacher training in 2020. Since then, she has worked as a collegiate volleyball strength & conditioning coach, exercise physiologist at a cancer center, group fitness coach, personal trainer and yoga teacher. In 2022 she went on to pursue her Master of Physical Therapy at UBC to continue to expand her knowledge and scope of practice.
Steph continues to love immersing herself in a positive fitness community and is overjoyed to find that at Wild + United. She is new to the Comox Valley, and keen to build her strength in the gym to boost her ability to conquer the surrounding mountains in all seasons! She's also hoping to follow her super mom's footsteps and get into the tennis scene...if you are up for a rally, let her know
Fun Facts
+ Steph has a 6 month old Vizsla puppy....if you see someone being dragged by a pup through the Cumby trails, it's probably her.
+ She drives a Fiat 500 and has been spotted pulling a mountain bike out of the trunk. The Vancouver Island clown car!
+ Getting her nails done has been an integral facet to her self-care the past few years. If she's got bare nails, check in on her.
