Why strength training now:

Your body is changing, and your training can change with it.

Perimenopause and menopause bring real shifts. Declining estrogen affects muscle, bone density, blood sugar, sleep, energy, and recovery. The good news is that strength training is one of the most powerful tools you have to protect your health through this transition, and you don't have to figure it out alone.

Fire + Iron pairs personal training with a W+U coach and a trusted team of local practitioners who support the whole picture: nutrition, pelvic health, acupuncture, osteopathy, and community.

What's included:

  • A free consultation to learn your goals, history, and how this stage of life is showing up for you

  • 5 personal training sessions with a qualified Wild + United coach

  • Access to a hand-picked team of local practitioners

$350 + tax

Sessions to be used within 2 months of purchase. This is important to ensure that you're actively building your strength training sessions into your daily life.  Leaving your strength training sessions to fit in wherever they can won't be sustainable in the long term- this is your first habit shift of this endeavor.

What we'll cover together:

Over your 5 sessions, your coach will work through the areas that matter most for you, in the order and depth that fits your needs. These generally include:

  • Breathing and your pelvic floor. Learning to coordinate your breath with your core and pelvic floor through every lift, so you can train with strength and confidence.

  • Strength for muscle and bone. Progressive strength training in the key movement patterns (squat, hinge, push, and pull) to protect muscle and bone through this transition.

  • Impact and power. Exploring jumping and power work at a level that suits your body, with low impact options always available.

  • Training through changing energy. How to adjust your workouts around sleep, stress, and symptoms so you can keep showing up, even on the harder days.

  • Mobility and recovery. Strategies that help you move well and feel good between workouts.

Your plan forward. Near the end of your sessions, your coach will help you choose the best next step for your needs and goals: more personal training, our general group classes, or Kim's peri/menopause series. Your coach can also connect you with Cara, Steph, Erica, or Irene.

FAQ'S

Do I need to be fit already?

No. Every session is built around where you are right now.

How do I know if I'm in perimenopause?

You don't need a label to join. If you're noticing changes and want training that accounts for them, this is for you. Your doctor is the best person to talk to about symptoms.

Are the partner services included in the price?

Your $350 + tax covers your free consultation and 5 personal training sessions. Partners book and bill separately, and your coach can help you connect with them.

How long do I have to use my personal training sessions?

2 months from purchase.

What happens after my 5 sessions?

Your coach will help you choose a next step that fits your goals: more personal training, our group classes, or Kim's peri/menopause series.

I leak when I jump. Is that a problem?

It's common and treatable. Your coach will always offer low impact options, and Steph, our pelvic health physio partner, is a great resource.

What should I bring to my consult?

Comfortable clothes you can move in and a water bottle. We'll take care of the rest.
