Courtenay Cockwill (She/Her)

Originally from Kelowna BC, Courtenay moved to the island in 2015 to attend university. It didn’t take long for her to realize that Vancouver Island is one of the most magical places ever! She spent a lot of time visiting family in Comox as a kid, and she always knew this place would one day be her home (and not just because she shares the name!). I feel so grateful to finally be living in the Valley.

The gym has always been an important part of her life, both as a place to connect with others and as a way to support her mental and physical well being. It really helped her feel grounded when she first moved out here, and she’s so excited to now be part of this amazing community as a front desk staff member!

She’s also an elementary school teacher and has taught grades 5–7 over the past few years. It’s a role that constantly challenges and inspires her, and she loves creating a safe, supportive space where students can learn and grow.

When she’s not working, you’ll usually find her out exploring the mountains & ocean, playing board games with friends, or relaxing with a good book and a cup of tea.
