About
Maya was born and raised in the Comox Valley and grew up with a passion for the outdoors. Growing up her family would go on all sorts of adventures from staying in the Amazon rainforest with a shaman, fishing for and eating piranhas, to home stays in Cuba trying to find lost relatives.
She loves hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, snowboarding, rock climbing and caving! Pretty much anything that gets her outside and active! She has a blue heeler named Ollie that keeps her company on many adventures as well as her partner Kyle.
Maya went to culinary school at Camosun College and ran her own meal delivery business for years before deciding she wanted to switch careers to something that reflected her passion for movement.
Maya loves the community and energy of Wild and United and is so excited to share the stoke with others! She is always excited to make connections and share adventure stories!
Fun Facts
+ I love spicy food and put hot sauce on everything!
+ I tore out my eardrum while bushwhacking and now can never go skydiving or scuba diving (talk to my left ear not my right)
+ I love caving and trying to squeeze myself into the tightest passage ways possible◦ Im always down for a type-2 fun adventure
